One of the best things about internet marketing is that a mom can start an online business for around $20 if she has to. In fact I wrote an article describing how this is possible: Internet Marketing for broke moms.

At the same time, investing in good tools can make the process of building an profitable business so much faster and easier. And we moms don’t have all day!

Here are the tools I use everyday in my business and that I would never be without.

Autoresponder

Aweber is my autoresponder and mailing list manager of choice. Almost every wahm starts out with something else and ends up changing to Aweber. Why not get it right from the get go?

Shopping Cart/Ecommerce

If you are selling anything online, you need a shopping cart and ecommerce system. WahmCart is the one I use. The customer service is top notch, the price is wahm friendly, it has a built in affiliate program and includes unlimited autoresponders and mailing lists.

Website Building

I have used several systems over the years but I now prefer Wordpress for everything - blogs or no. If you’re a beginner, I recommend Internet Based Family website builder. It is very user friendly for the beginner and includes all the bells and whistles so you can get a professional looking site up, quickly. It has a free ten day trial so you can test drive it.

Hosting

I love love love MomWebs hosting. The customer service is out of this world and the price is Right honey.

Audio

If you do any kind of audio in your business, try Audio Acrobat to host and organize your audios. I use AA for my podcast and information products and it’s super easy to use.

Learning/Coaching/Mentoring

I joined Mom Masterminds about 3 years ago and firmly believe it shortens the learning curve for a wahm by several months if not years. MM is simply the best coaching and mentoring program online for women that I’ve ever found. It is a steal for the price too!
