Meeting Elizabeth and Nicole

Thursday, August 20th, 2009

It’s too much fun to get out and meet fellow internet entrepreneurs and work at home moms.

Last week I met fellow podcasters and Mom Masterminds members Elizabeth Ashe and Nicole Dean (finally – I’ve known Nicole for about 6 years now and she is one of my favorite, most inspiring and informative online mentors) while they were attending the Niche Affiliate Marketing seminar here in Atlanta.

Their hotel was less than a mile from my home so I dropped by to say hello. I wish I could have stayed longer, but unfortunately had a funeral to attend that afternoon.

Here’s a pic of me, the kids and Nicole:

Here’s another one of Nicole, Elizabeth and me with my sons looking bored out of their minds. ;)

And here is one of Tracy Roberts of MomsInaBlog, Regina Baker of WahmCart and Elizabeth. Unfortunately I didn’t get to stay long enough to find Tracy and Regina, but here’s a virtual hug to the two of you!

Now I Gotta Get Getting Things Done

Saturday, February 2nd, 2008

Last month at Mom Masterminds, Tech Diva Extraordinaire Lynette Chandler provided us with a lovely report and audio on productivity guru du jour David Allen’s Getting Things Done system.

I enjoyed it very much and thought it was a system that would work for me very well because I’m a list and paper person. I wrote here about my monthly schedule, and that is still working extremely well for me.

Daily to do lists do not work well for me, a single work at home homeschooling mom of 4. (Wow, I’m tired just typing that.) Trying to force myself to do certain tasks in my business each day will only set me up for disappointment, so I set weekly goals that flow according to a certain monthly schedule.

But this GTD system could work very well inside of mine. I recently watch this Getting Things Done Video and now I am even more motivated to buy the book. Ok, just ordered it on Amazon so I don’t have to write that on a to do list. Since it takes less than two minutes. ;)

And also so I won’t be a hypocrite recommending something to you that I haven’t consumed myself. I don’t do that.

I liked the video a lot and it’s definitely worth listening to while you do something easy on your computer. I like David Allen after watching it.

Getting Things Done: The Art of Stress-Free Productivity

Have you seen this Mom Masterminds video?

Sunday, November 11th, 2007

Wow I’m impressed! Kelly McCausey has just put together a 25 minute video about Mom Masterminds. In it, she explains:

  • The ins and outs of the resources available
  • How members benefit from joining
  • An introduction to the coaches (her and Lynette) and special advisers
  • What the free preview includes
  • A sneak peek at the membership forum and all it holds in store for you
  • What separates MM from other work at home Mom forums
  • How to know if you’re right for Mom Masterminds

If you’re toying with the idea of joining, please take the time to watch this video. It will probably answer all the questions you’ve had about membership.

One important note: Since the beginning of MM, members “graduated” after 12 months of consecutive membership. This will be changing very very soon and the graduate period will extend to 18 months. So NOW IS the time to join

Dinner With the Mom Masterminds

Wednesday, October 17th, 2007
Well, 4 of them at least!

Last week I had the chance to have dinner with Alice Seba, of Internet Marketing Sweetie, Lynette Chandler of Tech Based Marketing, Darina Loakman of I Am a Wahm, and Tiffany Smith of Headshot Photographer Match.

What a treat! Alice and Darina came all the way from Delta, B.C. and Dublin, Ireland to attend the Big Seminar in Atlanta, and since Tiffani and I are from Atlanta and Lynette was going to be in the area, we couldn’t not get together.

I’m sharing some pics below. :-)

I don’t remember what was so funny, but this one was so cute and natural. From L-R it’s Alice, Darina and Lynette.

Here is all 5 of us: L-R Tiffani, Alice, Me, Darina, Lynette

A Real Honor

Friday, August 10th, 2007

I’ve talked about Mom Masterminds a lot here on this blog. MM has been absolutely instrumental for me, both in my business and personally (which is often one and the same).

What I mean is that since one of the hardest things about growing a business is keeping on keeping on. Few people reach their goals in a short time, and there’s a lot of work and learning that you have to do (and a few mistakes you have to make) in order to reach your goals. It’s sometimes a real exercise in personal growth and development, and not just marketing education.

MM has been so important as a place I can get the solid business advice I need from women who are ahead of me in their business development – and lately it’s been a place where I can offer that same help to others.

A few weeks ago I was named Special Advisor at Mom Masterminds. I’m really honored! So if you decide to join, I’ll be one of the women available to offer a helping hand.

You can get a free Sneak Peak into the coaching and resources available at Mom Masterminds by clicking this link.

Exciting Changes at Mom Masterminds

Tuesday, July 31st, 2007

If you’ve ever considered joining Mom Masterminds and didn’t, now is the time to think seriously about it. Some exciting changes are taking place!

Lynette Chandler of TechBasedMarketing, has stepped up as a Coach, which is great since she’s the technically minded woman in the group who keeps us all from banging our heads against the computer screen!

A few of the long time members there (including yours truly) are serving as Special Advisors, and MM has opened its doors for a No Strings Attached Free Preview! If you’ve ever wondered what Mom Masterminds is like you can find out now – no commitment required.

As a free preview member, you’ll be given instant access to the new MM Preview Center where you’ll experience five full version learning resources hand picked for newcomers.

You will also be given access to the private forum where you can introduce yourself and get help for your business. Ask questions, seek feedback, brainstorm and make important new connections with some of the most amazing internet marketing moms you’ll ever meet.

You can only have one Free Preview – so make sure that you set aside seven days to make the most of the opportunity. I know if you’re anything like me, you’ll fall in love with the networking and resources and sign up as a full member.

Personally, I’ve seen my income go from “extra, fun money” to a full time income (in MUCH less time) since joining. I’ve launched products with members there increasing my passive income and exposure, and gotten thousands of dollars worth of free marketing and business education… among other benefits.

Go take a sneak peek now.

22: A Question About Mom Masterminds

Sunday, January 28th, 2007

A subscriber to my “No Fluff” newsletter asked:

“Do I have to already have a website to get started? Or does the Mom Masterminds program teach me how to set up a website?

Great question – this was my response:

Not only do you not have to have a website to join MM, but it’s fantastic if you join before you ever start your business! That way, you get off on the right track and save yourself a lot of time, energy and money. :)

There are several courses included in the MM membership that will help you set up your site for maximum results, not to mention the support you will find in the mentoring forum.

If you have questions about MomMasterminds, please ask them here. The program has been invaluable to me in my business. You can get a free trial by going HERE.
