Y’all know I’m a big fan of article marketing. Last month I even hosted a 30 day article writing challenge.

Writing articles accomplishes several things all at once.

First, you use the articles yourself on your own site/blog to generate more traffic, provide information (and therefore goodwill) to your target market, and sell products (or host ads or whatever you do to make money online!). You reuse the articles on your newsletter or autoresponder. You give them to your affiliates so they can publish them and make more sales for you.

Then you distribute them – which helps you get more incoming links (boosting your traffic and rankings) and establishing you as an expert in the topic.

So, what’s the problem?

The problem is that you are sometimes challenged coming up with ideas, that’s what.

Thought so.

It’s really not that hard once you have a template. And once you have that, you can repeat it over and over again with all kinds of different topics and titles.

Remember when I promised to tell you how I got on MSNBC the other week?

Well, it’s so painfully simple that I hate to even mention it. It’s almost anticlimactic.

The reporter found me by doing a Google search.

Yep, that’s right. Good search engine optimization (SEO) on my part led to national news coverage.

Of course, SEO has always been a strategy of mine. Mostly, for the free traffic. But it’s awesome to know that it can also land you major publicity. Bonus!

I’m sore, hoarse, and tired, which meant I had a lot of fun last night. But today it’s back to work for me.

Kelly McCausey interviewed me for Profitable Mommy Blogging. Her show and blog there are extremely helpful for moms who want to monetize their personal blogs. Check it out. I shared some of my own strategies for monetizing my mom blog.

At the end of the program, I shared how I was able to snag coverage on national television – all because of my blogging efforts. You’ll have to listen to get the answer! Blogging is one of my favorite income generating activities online and it’s something I love to help other people get started with. This is a great topic for coaching so let me know if you need help launching your blog or getting more results with your blog.

My desktop computer crashed last week. I turned it on, and it kept rebooting over and over and over again.

Thankfully, it only cost me $55 to repair.

And the repair place is just up the street. The guys there were real nice (I would be linking to them here if they had a website, but oddly enough, they don’t!) and even called me to let me know what was up, what they could save and couldn’t save, and how much it was going to charge.

Basically they weren’t able to save a thing.

They had to put everything back to factory default and re-install the operating system.

This kind of thing can be an internet marketer’s nightmare.

But, I wasn’t the least bit worried.

Why?
