UPDATE June 2008: Adsense Detective is no longer accepting customers. I now use a tool that is superior to A.D. called AdSpy Tracker. It provides more information and is a ONE time investment, not a monthly recurring charge. Read my review here: AdSpy Tracker
I signed up for Adsense Detective 3 months ago and wanted to test it thoroughly before making a recommendation here.
Here’s my honest opinion: I love it.
You’ve heard from everyone that you need to track your AdSense clicks in order to maximize your earnings. What are people clicking on, what ad size and color scheme do they like best, what placement, what pages, what sites, etc. If you have a lot of websites this could be a full time job! And yet if you want those really big AdSense checks, it’s necessary.
Enter AdSense Detective. It’s like someone put your site under a microscope and tells you with the click of a button:
where they click
when they click
what ad sizes and color schemes are working best
what pages they get click happy on
what pages need work
It even tells you where they land after they click.
AdSense channels can be a pain to work with when it comes to tracking especially if you have a lot of sites and want to track a lot of different variables.
Adsense Detective is so easy to use. All you do is insert a bit of javascript code (like a statcounter code) into your page. Since I use XSitePro, I only had to add it ONCE to my scripts page and it tracks everything, sitewide.
So far I’ve been able to “find” a couple of hot niches and turned those into 3 new sites based on the info I’ve learned from Adsense Detective.
And here’s a neat tip for you: If you find out what your most popular clickin’ pages are, you can build a little box on your home page that says “Favorite Pages” or “Favorite Articles” or “Don’t Miss” or something like that to funnel traffic to these performing pages.
Click here to go to AdSense Detective. Highly recommended, and very inexpensive too!
