Basic Bookkeeping For Wahms- Easy!

Friday, April 28th, 2006

There is a resource I’ve been wanting to tell you about for some time now, but I was waiting to try it out before I recommended it. It’s a free basic online bookkeeping resource. I LOVE it! It makes it so easy for me to add my earnings and business expenses in one neat place, does automatic backups, and is web based so I can access it anywhere.

It’s now so easy to keep up with my monthly business progress. You can take a free trial and then use it for free here: Basic Bookkeeping Online

Now all I have to do for tax time next year is print out my numbers from this site.

Enjoy :)

And thanks to Alice Seba for telling me about it!

What Color Is Your Blog?

Wednesday, April 26th, 2006

Hmm… this makes me sound awfully stuck up. :(

Your Blog Should Be Purple

You’re an expressive, offbeat blogger who tends to write about anything and everything.
You tend to set blogging trends, and you’re the most likely to write your own meme or survey.
You are a bit distant though. Your blog is all about you – not what anyone else has to say.

Toilet Paper, Shower Cleaner and Your Business

Monday, April 24th, 2006

Wow- nowadays even your shower cleaner and toilet tissue have their own websites. Which goes to show… people really DO want information about the products they buy.

Alice Seba talked about Markety Goodness (which I haven’t been able to get out of my head since then- I love it!) on her blog recently.

Are you trying to run a home based business without a website? If people want to learn about their toilet paper by visiting a website, shouldn’t you have one for your product or service? Is lack of technical skill holding you back? It shouldn’t.

If You Don’t Believe Me….

Saturday, April 22nd, 2006

then take it straight from the horse’s mouth.

So many people, especially us Moms, can be skeptical about the possibilities of earning income on the Internet. We’ve fallen for scams before and have gotten burned, or we just think it’s all a bunch of hot air.

Here’s a fantastic article that says what I’ve been saying for a couple of years now. Tremendous opportunity exists for you online, according to USA Today and Google Himself (Herself? lol!)

Here’s a snippet of the article:

“In his spare time, Mr. Gandhi runs a free computer help website and recently began running ads by Google on his homepage as part of Google Adsense, a program that pays website publishers for advertising space. When visitors click on the ads on Gandhi’s site, Google makes a small profit from the advertiser, and in turn, pays a percentage of that profit to Gandhi.

Such clicks can translate into pennies — or dollars — a day for a Web publisher. “I had no intentions of using it for more than a week,” Gandhi says. “I didn’t believe the stories that Adsense paid decent money. I ignored them as a marketing gimmick.”

This is exactly why you need the Natural Mom Business Guide, so you can learn, step by step, how to build one of these websites that could have you earning an extra few hundred bucks a month. How would $1,000 a month make your life easier?

Web Content Challenge- Can You Handle It?

Tuesday, April 11th, 2006

Recently at Mom Masterminds some of us have undertaken a challenge to help us grow our “Virtual Real Estate” as John Reese refers to it. We have as a goal to add 50 new pages to our various sites each week until the end of April. Some of us have met or exceeded the goal, and some haven’t quite hit it, but are still pleased with their progress.

Increasing your VRE is one way to ensure your long term internet marketing success. More pages means more traffic which means more money in your pocket. You simply can’t lose!

How do you come up with that much content?

We’re all doing slightly different things to reach our goals. Personally, I’m writing some of my own content in the form of articles and product reviews, and I’m also using free reprint articles. You can find articles available for use at places like Ladypens.com, EzineArticles.com and others. I’m also paying Virtual Assistants to add these articles to a couple of different sites.

One way to almost effortlessly build your website is to accept content from your visitors. Some ideas: have a form on your site for article submissions, product reviews, success stories and other kinds of feedback applicable to your website niche.
