I’m sure you’ve heard of Instant Buzz by now, there seems to be quite a bit of controversy about it.
On one side, I’ve heard marketers (mostly work at home Moms) say it put adware on their computer (I didn’t experience that, and
I’m not sure I believe it), they say it “didn’t work”, meaning no increased traffic to their sites (were they analyzing their site stats?).
On the other hand, I’ve heard marketers I respect like Lynn Terry of SelfStartersWeeklyTips.com say great things about Instant Buzz, and Kara Kelso (whose explanation I’ve borrowed here, she won’t mind LOL!)

I think what it boils down to is this:
Good copywriting.
If you know how to write an ad, and know how to write a web page, then you will have clicks and you will have sales.
