I just got my first Power Moms Cruise Fund donation!

From my friend Danielle, who is currently working on a really cool website that will be ready to unwrap November 15th. I’m excited about it because she and I are working on it together…it’s completely her baby and her idea, but I’ll be assisting her a little with what I know about html, web design and internet marketing.

Danielle and I have worked together in business before, and became good friends, but I decided to go in a differnet direction.

I was very excited when she told me about her idea. It’s totally unique, and in my searching around I haven’t found anything like it on the Net. She’s even gotten some publicity going with a local radio station. Cool!

Danielle is the creative, big ideas person, whereas I’m the “scared to get started but good about finishing” person. So we complement each other.

Danielle will definitely be benefiting from the info I get from the Cruise since we’ll be working together on her site, but she’s also getting The Truth About Traffic from Alice Seba for FREE!!

Thanks Alice and Danielle!!

Alice Seba Sweetens The Deal!

Tuesday, October 12th, 2004

The aforementioned Alice of Internetbasedmoms.com has offered to give anyone who contributes $25 or more to my Power Moms Cruise fund a FREE Truth About Traffic.

See it for yourself here.

That’s a $47 value! PLUS you get all my notes typed up neatly :)

You can’t beat that…Wow…thanks Alice!!

The Power Moms Cruise- Help Me Help You!

Monday, October 11th, 2004

I’m about to do something unorthodox for me.

I am not usually the type of person who asks for things. I’m one of those who usually tries to tough things out and go it alone.

But I need some help, and I’m not afraid to ask for it this time.

I’m going to the Power Moms Cruise, and I’m having to make some serious sacrifices in order to do so.

I decided to commit to the trip, even though I didn’t have the money!

I’m going to trust the universe to give me what I need, in order to do

what I need to do.

And I’ve always found the work at home Mom community to be so generous…

so I’m asking for donations to help me get there :)

I also believe in giving people value, so in exchange for your assistance,

I will be giving you all of my meticulous notes that I’ll be taking on the cruise!

If you aren’t going to the Power Moms Cruise because you don’t have the money to do so, or because of scheduling conflicts or whatever, you can at least get some of the information that will be presented there!

Listen to this lineup: Alice Seba of Internetbasedmoms.com, Kelly McCausey of WahmTalkRadio.com, Lynn Terry of SelfStartersWeeklyTips.com, Alexandria Brown the Ezine Queen, Lorrie Morgan-Ferrero of Red Hot Copy, Tracy Lyn Moland of Mom Management, Lynette Chandler of Bizdome.com, and much more!

I am an extensive note taker and plan on using my laptop to type up notes as I listen to these awesome ladies spill their Internet Marketing guts.

Please help me help you benefit from the Power Moms Cruise!

Send paypal donations to: MsBiz@Earthlink.net in any amount you can cheerfully give.

God loves a cheerful giver and so do I ;)

I will keep track of your email address and send you the notes as soon as we return.

Thank you!!

Power Moms Cruise- What I’m Giving Up To Get There

Monday, October 11th, 2004

Going to the Power Moms Cruise is something that dh and I are having to really work hard to fit into our budget.

But we’re going because we know that the value is tremendous! I know that the information I glean from the ladies who will be teaching there will catapult my business endeavors, save me time, and make my efforts more efficient and effective.

I’m working on increasing my income to help pay for the trip, but I also decided to sit down and see how much I could “earn” by carving things OUT of the budget.

Here’s what I came up with.

Meat

I was already thinking of going veg, I can certainly do it for 17 weeks in order to save some money!

Approx. savings: $170 ($10/week shaved off the grocery bill.)

Starbucks

I can brew my coffee at home :)

Approx. savings: $85 ($5/week)

A haircut

My hair is long and curly and it is not a big deal if it gets longer and curlier.

Approx. savings: $20

Now here’s the biggie:

Eating Out

We are a family of 5, and even eating cheaply, we spend $40 a week on meals out.

Yuck.

Approx. savings: $680.

Yikes!!

Those things right there total up to $955, more than enough to cover the cost of the trip. Plus, I told dh that he could forgo my 11th anniversary gift in March 2005 :)

We’ve never had a “real” vacation, much less a cruise, so this would be a real treat for both of us, even with baby in tow!

Are You a Mouse or an Eagle?

Friday, October 8th, 2004

Networking marketing is, at the very least, a lesson in psychology.

I’ve noticed that people either have the long term focus of an eagle, or the scurrying around, tripping over thorns quality of the mouse.

Which one are you?

I think that to succeed in business, and in life in general, a person needs to be able to overlook the gnat bites, fleas and rocks.

It’s better to be the kind of person who can see the big picture, who can see what’s ahead, and can focus on his target.

I know which one I’m trying to be.

Eagles EAT mice, after all ;)
