Paypal- Too Little, Too Late

Wednesday, October 27th, 2004

Paypal is trying to make things right for their recent screwups but it leaves me wanting. :(

They are going to credit account holders for any transaction fees incurred on October 28th.

Excuse me, but they could do better.

Paypal had issues for over a week.

I had quite a few transactions during that period that I never got email notification of, and several payments that I tried to make which took me hours or days to complete.

What if I have no transactions on October 28th? That means I get zilcho.

Not cool in my book.

Online DVD Rentals (and not Netflix)

Tuesday, October 26th, 2004

I just have to put a plug in here for my main product, online DVD rentals (and not Netflix).

For $20 a month you can get as many movies in the mail as you want, no due dates, no late fees, no postage, no waiting at the video store on Friday night, etc.

And no commitments. You can cancel anytime (but I don’t think you will, I think you’ll love it).

So…if you’ve been thinking of doing online DVD rentals, give Gold Entertainment Unlimited Movies a try. That way instead of them making all the money, you’ll be throwing some my way. Me, a hard working wahm. :)

Surprise Check From Gold Entertainment

Tuesday, October 26th, 2004

My primary online income source is Gold Entertainment. They’re a multi-level marketer of online DVD rentals . I got a check in the mail yesterday that caught me by surprise, because my business had slowed down for that pay period!

That is what I love about Network Marketing…the power of leverage. You see, my personal productivity slowed down that week, but the people I have introduced the business to were working, and I got paid. In fact, my check was HIGHER than it’s ever been! Gotta love that ;)

Writing Articles-How Did That Happen?!

Wednesday, October 20th, 2004

I got a phone call last night from a lovely gentleman from Billings, Montana.

He said he read my article in the newspaper…inside a special section called “Women in Business”.

What?!

I never submitted an article to the Western Business News!

He said it was a lovely article with a large photo of me in it, and my bio at the end had my website.

The only thing I can figure is that the article was lifted from a free content site somewhere on the web. It’s entitled “Why Moms Should Start a Home Based Business Today”. I’m excited about the fact that my article appeared in an offline print publication!

Frugality Side Benefit!

Monday, October 18th, 2004

It’s hard to believe that just giving up meat for the last week, my Maple Oat Scone, and weekly Chinese takeout could’ve caused this, but I’m certainly not doing anything else differently!

I thought I was getting smaller but then tried on a pair of jeans that hasn’t fit in ages, and I could button them! Yea!

So I’m saving up for the Cruise but also getting slinky. Being cheap has fringe benefits! Whee :)
